Get into the Carnival spirit with GoTo

Did you know that Carnival is one of the oldest historical festivals in Malta, with just under five centuries of credited and documented history dating back to the Knights’ of St John’s occupancy in Malta? 😮

To keep this tradition alive throughout these challenging times, the organisers managed to create the following special edition.

Costume Exhibiton

Feb 6th - Mar 7th

Although the beauty of these garments cannot be enjoyed in motion, they can still be enjoyed for viewing up close in an exhibition which is being held at the Spazju Kreattiv, (St James Cavallier), in Valletta.

There are 24 carnival costumes being exhibited!

Artistic Installations

Feb 12th - 16th

Due to the pandemic, these static installations have replaced the traditional Carnival floats for this year’s extraordinary edition.

You can find these at the Freedom Square (Near Parliament), St George's Square and the Great Siege Square (next to Law Courts).

Street Installations

Feb 12th - 16th

You can spot these installations in Hamrun, Qormi, Swieqi, Marsa, Mater Dei hospital and Paola.

These were designed by illustration artists and produced by Carnival participants.

Getting on-board with GoTo is simple. Three services, all under one, easy-to-use app. With free designated parking spaces and super affordable rates.
